Teeth Whitening FAQ

Many patients come in asking about what teeth whitening options we have at City Dentists.

At the moment we do a take home whitening kit. This involves taking a set of impressions of your upper and lower teeth in order to get your custom-made trays made.

Once your trays have been made you are ready to begin your whitening journey. You place the whitening solution in the trays and wear them overnight for about 1 week.

One of the possible side effects is teeth sensitivity so we recommend you use a sensitive toothpaste throughout your treatment.

Please note that fillings, veneers, crowns and cement left from braces will not get whiter. The treatment will not whiten through plaque and tarter, so have your teeth professionaly cleaned first for best results. Get a full check-up as well before starting teeth whitening as any decay or cavities may get worse if not treated beforehand.

At the end of the whitening treatment  we like to see you again for a quick visit to review your whitening success.

Both our Dentists and Dental Hygienists are able to do your Whitening for you so feel free to make an appointment with either of them.
