However, with the average adult currently consuming twice the recommended sugar amount of 30 grams per day, something needs to change.<\/p>\n<p>Here are three tips to help you get more sugar smart today.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Watch out for booze<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A refreshing gin and tonic or glass of wine is the perfect accompaniment to a night spent with friends. But you don&#39;t have to quit drinking altogether, just mix in some waters &#8211; it&#39;ll help rinse away residue sugars that linger on the enamel.
